Happy All Hallows’ Eve!

While the city (NYC) is going bonkers with 20-year girls old’s in “sexy” cat/maid/nurse “costumes,” here I sit Photo-shopping my cats while eating humus and drinking red wine.

And I wonder why I’m single.

This is the first year I’ve “dressed” my guys for Halloween (albeit virtually). They won’t stand for real costumes. I know this because they behave as though instantaneously paralyzed should I attempt to put so much as a loose-fitting shirt on them.

So here they are. Can you guess who they’re supposed to be? I didn’t make it easy? Leave your guesses in the comments section and I’ll reveal the answers at a later date!

(UPDATE, the answers can be found at the end of this post – it seems either these were too hard or my Photoshop skills need serious help!)

And now for some cats in Halloween attire I had to share with you either because they made me laugh or smile. And they don’t look they they’re too bothered by being all dressed up (well, at least most of them don’t!). They all deserve awards in my opinion. I wonder how their parents fared!

These tableaux are amazing – as are the cats of course! I wish I knew who the cats were, but all I know is they were entrants for  Petco’s “Make a Scene” Halloween contest.

I adore both of the shots below. So well styled, and those sheep crack me up! I wonder if they are utterly confused by the presence of that cat-like-bunny-thing! LOL!

Are those super hero kittens to die for or what?!! But shouldn’t that M&M have brown blood? I know, I know, I’m being too literal….it’s a fatal flaw. Gotta love the super serious bee twins.

OMG!  Yes please cutie squirrel cat! Whatever you want you may have! Swoon!

One of our less happy customers on the left below. I know I shouldn’t laugh but I can’t help it. He rivals Garfi for angriest cat face!  Oh dear. And how adorable is the mouse riding the cat?! I know, I know it’s wrong but it’s so darn cute!

This Sphynx from Kansas was Petco’s “Make a Scene” cat winner – pretty original concept and impressive performance by a cat if you ask me  (Petie would be eating the cookies!).

And in the oft forgotten rodent category (Is a porcupine a rodent? sorry, don’t mean to insult!) I had to include these two cute photos!

Sorry no pups but there were just too many to choose from and they get their fair share of exposure this time of year.

And I’ll close by sharing a little taste of my venture into to Madison Square Park this evening. These are by far the best costumes I saw during my sojourn. Though I must say I’m perplexed that the Empire State Building appears to be RED and green instead of ORANGE and green? #toosoonempirestatebuilding #toosoon

Don’t forget to leave your guesses as to what Petie, Haddie and Kip are “dressed” up as! No prize but it will still be fun. #reallyipromise #haveafunhalloween

And for #tbt (Throw Back Thursday), you can check out this post of me carving pumpkins with my Daddy as a kid back in the day. And a bonus shot of my nuclear family dressed up for Halloween a few years ago. Ah, the good ‘ole days!  Night all!

THE ANSWERS TO WHO MY CATS WERE “DRESSED” UP AS THIS HALLOWEEN: Petie is the Godfather; Haddie is Nellie Oleson from “Little House on the Prairie” and Kip is Errol Flynn (of that’s what they are SUPPOSED to be!).
