How Haddie Became My SideKick

Some of you have read “Is She The One,” the post in which I share the story of how Haddie entered my life as a foster, became a failed foster/squatter and ultimately my third and final cat.

For those of you who haven’t read the post, the folks from The Sidekick Series asked me to tell an abbreviated version of the story on today’s video installment (our story starts at around :26). So you can listen to how that smarty cat weaseled her way into my life instead of reading about it!

To provide a little background, The Sidekick Series was started by Emily and Suzanne (two New Yorker animal parents)  and is dedicated to spreading stories of rescue pets and their parents with the mission of raising funds for and awareness around the rewards of getting people to adopt their very own sidekick!

Haddie today - you can still tell she has damaged eyes, but she sees just fine.

If you’d like to learn how I came to get my first cat Kip, check out “He Had Cat(s)” (it was a boy’s “fault” – figures!). And to learn more about Petie take a look at “A Fur Son’s Gift.
