World’s Best Forest Scented Clumping Litter (Review & Giveaway)

Finally, the World’s Best Cat Litter mystery is revealed! The new scent is…Forest Scented Clumping Litter.

This new litter has a mild, fresh pine scent thanks to 100% wood fibers combined with the natural corn that’s always been in World’s Best Multiple Cat Clumping and Original Clumping.

For those of you who tried the Lavender Scented Multiple Cat Clumping and found the smell over-powering, the Forest Scented version is much more mild. Just smells like fresh wood shavings (brought back pleasant memories of wood shop class for me!).

As I use the original World’s Best Multiple Cat formula, it was hard to do a true side-by-side comparison as the Forest Scented is for single cat households. However, I must say I think it stood up just as well from a smell and clumping perspective. As you can see, in the photo below, the Forest Scented formulation has larger kernels.

I will say I noticed a bit more litter tracking, but I’m not sure if that’s just a function of the larger kernels being more noticeable? A friend of mine who uses the single cat original World’s Best says she notices the same amount of tracking so perhaps it’s the formulation of the Multiple Cat formula that’s finer and isn’t as visible when it tracks?

The company recommends mixing the Forest Scented litter gradually with the  litter you are using currently. I filled one litter box with only the new Forest Scented litter and mixed the two in the other box. My cats must not be too picky because they took to both boxes equally well!
