Little Haddie has been through so much yet she is the sweetest, gentlest little girl. She’s 6 months old and goes up for adoption this weekend.
Haddie was born outdoors and was rescued weighing less than 2 lbs, covered in fleas with a raging eye infection. At first the folks at West Chelsea Veterinary were afraid they wouldn’t be able to save her eyes but she pulled through and while she has some scar tissue, she can see and is as playful as ever!
Even the vets agree she has THE BEST temperament. At first I had to put eye drops in her eyes and rub ointment on her eyeball every three hours. She was the best sport about it and never made a peep. You know if Haddie complains it’s really got to be bad!
Haddie’s a purr machine and often visits me in bed at night. If you or anyone you know living in the NYC area might be interested in adopting Haddie please email City Critters at adoptions@citycritters.org.
She will be on display at the Kip’s Bay PETCO from noon tomorrow until Sunday around 6pm. It’s always bitter sweet giving up a foster, but I can only hope she finds a wonderful loving home.
