Tamar began “I Have Cat” as a way to chronicle of her life as a 30-something NYC singleton looking for love despite the complication of owning cat (s).
Raised pet-less, she only discovered her love of felines as an adult thanks to an ex-boyfriend.
Guys came and went but the cat(s) remained and with them spurred new thinking about life, food and even men of the 2-legged variety.
Tamar refuses to fall prey to the “Cat Lady” stereotype. She wears her cat-fur-free black clothing as a badge of honor, and was thrilled it took her dry cleaner years to figure out she lived with cast.
While having a cat is not exactly a dirty little secret, people shake their heads and warn her she’ll never have good furniture – or a man – again.
Tamar’s blog reads like “Sex and the Kitty” and has brought together thousands of like-minded people from around the globe.
