My guys were fortunate enough to receive the “Happy Cat” box to check out a few days ago. Here’s how it went down.
First (see photo above), Kip tries to discern what’s in the box by listening (?) to it. This he most definitely got from my Father who does this every time he gets a gift (the listen and then the shaking).
Haddie joins in on the fun and I think she notices that the box is actually open. “Um, Kip, whattcha doing over there? The action is here. I need your paw dude.”
So I finally decided to help them out, what with the opposable thumbs and all. It only seemed right.
Kippie dives right in to get the loot. Do you have one cat who is better with his or her paws than the others? My Kip is definitely the one who is most dexterous. I love watching him scoop things up in the cup he makes with his paw!
I guess as the youngest Haddie thinks she has the right to pick first. The boys comply and wait their turn as she carefully reviews the offering.

- Petstages Catnip Dental Health Chews – Sounds like a food but it’s actually a toy that helps massage the gums and clean the teeth when chomped – it’s on the lower left of the photo above.

- Cat Dancer – Requires no description. My cats will be excited to have one back in the house again (Petie actually played with it!). I know everyone wishes they’d invented this thing. Seriously? It must cost 15cents to make and all cats love it!
- Ms Bekkah’s Corner Crochet Cat Ball Toy – It’s the orange ball in a plastic bag right below the Cat Dancer in the photo. It’s like if your Grandma made a toy for your cat (it’s washable!).
- Bravo Bonus Bites Chicken Liver For Dogs and Cats – I can’t wait to try these with my guys. They’re freeze dried which is something new to them. I love that they’re made in the US are 100% antibiotic free and don’t have added hormones.
- Business Catual – A bow tie for a collar made in the US out of recycled materials (and they’re not kidding around)* with 9% of profits going to local animal welfare groups.
- An array of mice, balls with bells and small sparkle balls
*Look, the red bow we got used to be the neighbor’s dress!
Oh, back to Haddie and her goodie selection. In the end, true to form, she picked the red sparkle ball. She’s so flashy that one!
I guess it is kind of cute that she’s a girl and she picked red.
