Whiskerslist Giveaway Winner: Cat Lover and Rescuer Charmaine Davey

I’m pleased to announce that the winner of the “Whiskerslist: The Kitty Classifieds” giveaway is Charmaine Davey! She’s enjoying the book and told me, “It is such a cute book, it had me laughing out loud…boy can I ever relate to them (the ads)!!”

Charmaine is the ultimate cat lover and rescuer, so I had to share a few photos and tell you a little bit about her (and her kitties)! She absolutely deserved this win, and as I think you’ll soon agree, could probably using the reading/humor break!

She has ten felines of her own – Elliott, Holly, Miranda, Marissa, Grable, Creamsicle, Boomer, Sherlock, Simon & Autumn – two rescues, Squeak and Juliet, who are up for adoption!

Charmaine is the founder of The Kitty Kanteen Feral Cat and Kitten Rescue that specializes in socialization of feral cats and kittens so that they can be adopted. This year alone she’s adopted out 45 cats and kittens!

Her home is always full of kittens being socialized for placement through either her organization or one of the three other rescue groups in the Southeastern Michigan area who do not have feral socializers on staff. “We get kittens from them that are approx. 4 weeks of age and raise them for the next 5 to 8 weeks until they are ready for homes and families of their own.”
