A week that began with anxiety over Hurricane Sandy’s arrival has culminated in quite a bit of excitement in this Manhattan residence.
First off, the New York Daily News publish my article, “My Brief Life Among The Have-Nots,” about my experiences during Hurricane Sandy. It’s a piece I wrote when I couldn’t fall asleep Friday evening – ironically the first night we had power and heat. Don’t worry, the kitties get mentions.
I hope you check it out and give it a “like” or a “tweet” and who knows, maybe I’ll get another chance to infiltrate and write about cats write for them in the future!
But it seems Haddie and Kip managed to up-stage me with a surprise four-color editorial spread on the home page of KittyBlock. I can only imagine what Petie’s got up his sleeve for me!
Hope this email finds everyone safe and with power. Wanted to share a fundraising event the cat-fostering-TNR-ing songstress Sarah Donner is hosting online to benefit the Staten Island Feral Initiative.
It’s a pay-what-you can virtual concert (paypal accepted), with all proceeds going to help the cats. It’s just a simple and fun way to help the animals impacted by Hurricane Sandy.
That’s all for now. Thanks and lots of love!
