Ready or not here I come!

I’m on a Washington, DC bound Amtrak train to BlogPaws and I’m definately not ready.

So much for my grand plan of being packed the night before, getting a pedicure (I brought all closed toe shoes), maybe even a wax (you never know!). It was a miracle I was able to grab a cup of coffee before boarding unlike some bloggers – Stephanie of Catsparella – who already posting three times today before noon (now that’s just showing off!).

Waiting for the train at Penn Station I was nervous.

The plan had been to look like the pulled together coiffed New York singleton whose photo appears on my blog (can you say make-up artist and good lighting?).

The reality was Tamar running around like a lunatic at 6:30am unshowered, trying to feed the cat, scoop the litter box, pick up a prescription (of course I went to the wrong drug store first) and oh…pack.

But the closer I get to DC the less I care about how I look. I’m just excited to get to know more cat (and dog) lovers, meet virtually friends in the flesh (Deb of “Zee & Zoey“, Kim Clune from This One Wild Life” & The Tiniest Tiger’s Mom), and reconnect with “old” friends (Stephanie, Ann, Robin, Caroline, Ingrid and Vicki to name a few!).

BlogPaws 2011, ready or not, here I come!

PS – Yes I’m vain, I did put a little make-up on in the train.
