I’m all about cat toys and accessories that are an extension of my personality and aesthetic. So I was super excited when Mei Zaums, founder of Jake & Micah (and former NYC resident), offered to send one of her cat-nip toy for the cats to test-drive.

Jake & Micah, named after Mei’s cats, was founded in 2007 when she found herself frustrated with the poor selection and quality of cat toys in the marketplace.

While beautifully packaged, I really appreciated the ASPCA pet rescue sticker we received with our toy. I’ve been meaning to get one of those! Great idea Mei!

I thought it would be neat to introduce you to the two beautiful mancats after which Jake & Micah were named.

While they are no longer with us, thanks to Mei their memory will now live on forever. Jake,was a vocal highly intelligent Siamese who enjoyed macaroons, drinking from the faucet and cuddling while Micah enjoyed licking feet (his own or others I wonder) bird watching, and giving massages.
