Kitty Love: Part 2

Hopefully you all saw and read “Kitty Love: Part 1” last week. When we asked I HAVE CAT readers to send in photos of their cuddly, snuggly, loving cats, we never imagined we’d get as many photos as we did.

So here is Part 2 in what will likely be a series of posts that could potentially extend beyond Valentine’s Day!  These photos and stories will most definitely put a smile on your face. Enjoy!

Rena Henderson’s cats Joey and Phoebe:

Joey (on top) and Phoebe (leaning against him)

Both Joey and Phoebe are point Siamese mixes. We got Joey when he was 3 months old, and it didn’t take long to realize that he needed a playmate. We found Phoebe at a rescue organization, she’d been found at four months old with a broken jaw. What a gift she’s been! They are both sooo sweet.

Allison Garner’s cats Felix and Hubert:

Hubert (left) and Felix (right)

These are my boys ! They are always with each other. I got Felix when I first moved out from my parents into my own place, he is now 4 years old. Hubert is 2. They were instantly in love Hubert follows Felix around the house every time Felix sleeps, Hubert goes to lay with him and kiss him its so sweet!

snuggly-Piper and Leo

PIper (left) and Leo (right)

Piper and Leo are 4 year old siblings who have been virtually inseparable since birth.  Leo is a gentle giant and the best big brother a girl could ask for.  In fact, he regularly can be seen cleaning schmutz off of Piper’s little head and face.

Jacqueline Emmett’s cats Artie and Reggie:

All my boys snuggle each other, its great to watch them. These are my 2 savannah boys, Artie & Reggie.

Katrina Demeanour’s cats Samson and Gimmick:

Samson (left) and Gimmick (right)

Samson, our 5 month old devon rex and his big brother, Gimmick, 2 year old sphynx who are inseparable! They are both super needy lovers. We only got Samson at the start of December but everyone that has met him wants to steal him! I need a kitten detector on our front door to prevent the embarrassing body searches I currently have to do on anyone leaving the house!

The two cats will sit like this (in the picture) licking each other, than have a five minute rough and tumble then go back to licking each other! Gimmick is very much a daddy’s boy and sleeps curled up in his arms every night and Samson curls up between us, both under the duvet which is handy when it’s this cold!

Laurene Avis’ cats Turbo and Thai Thai:

Laurene Avis

Turbo and Thai Thai are  6 year old brother and sister, whom I’ve had since birth. Turbo is the most vocal, friendliest little guy who loves to play fetch! And Thai Thai is a little cuddler who is always purring, even when she’s eating. Everywhere I go, they go, and they do it together

Jan Wischmeyer’s cats Jack and Sassy

Jan Wischmeyer

I adopted Jack and his sister Sassy when their owner died. Sassy doesnt hang out where Jack wants to, so he became besties with Spitzie, who I brought in as a feral kitten. Spitzie knows, as a poofy cat, she is the most beautiful and loveable and if she isn’t curled up with Jack, she is with me.

Brooke N Rob Young’s cats O and Max:

O (left) and Max (right)

O, an orange Tabby, is 7 months old and Max, a Russian Blue, is 3 1/2 years old. I rescued Max when he was 4 months old. He’s small for his age but he’s full of energy. I adopted O when he was 7 weeks old. Max stayed hidden for almost a week because he was used to being the ‘baby’ in the house. He slowly accepted O once he realized he was just as feisty as he was.

O follows Max everywhere. If Max runs thru the house and across the furniture, O’s right behind him. When they aren’t running wild through the house, they are cuddled up on the bed or the back of the couch together. They’ve become best friends but the only thing that stands between them is the little red dot!  They share their home with 4 other cats but they play and do more than the others so I think that’s why they are so attached to one another.

Have you ever caught your cats in an embrace?
