Actually where I’m going is better than Disney World (at least I think so) because I’m going to the Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary in Saint Pauls, NC thanks to SHEBA brand’s new “Feed Your Passion” campaign!
As part of their campaign they have given me the opportunity to play out my passion of learning about and helping cats in a new exciting way by sending me to the Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary!
You may have heard about this 501c charity located in North Carolina but if you haven’t it’s a sanctuary that was started in 2005 as a place for blind cats to go to live out their years instead of being killed just because they were sightless.
I’ll be heading down to North Carolina in a few weeks to help care for the blind cats (read: scoop poop!) and get the place ready for the monthly Open House I’ll also be attending. Never fear, I’m sure I’ll get some good kitty loving in there too!
I’m excited – and a little nervous – since the only blind cat I know is from Homer’s Odyssey (the book!). But I can’t wait to meet these sweet little souls and share my experience with you all!
