Pets Add Smile(s)

Once a year Pets Add Life (PAL) asks bloggers to write about the benefits of having a pet (or two or three!) Today I’m writing about seemingly inconsequential things the felines of my home have done lately to bring a smile to my face. And a smile is something we can all use in this day and age (and it’s for free!).

First up, foster Roxie. I was watching HOMELAND the other day and I couldn’t get that little silhouette of a kitty off the screen.

She was really tracking the movement and was up there the entire show. Look at the photo on the left, doesn’t it look like she is reading Saul’s lie detector test? She’s adorable!

Next up, Kipper (aka Kip, Good Looking, First Born)! I had a holiday party the other weekend. It was one of the first ones I’d had in quite some time. Kip could not have been happier (that’s him at the party above!).

He was the center of attention and loved it. He was literally the Belle of the Ball!  I wish I had a photograph of it but he was sitting on the kitchen counter relaxing letting everyone pet him!

The photo above is of Kip from a Christmas party in 2005, the first year he lived with me.  I don’t think I’d had him but for a month or two and look how relaxed he is.

I think my sister hit the nail on the head when she said Kip must have been raised in a crack den because he’s the most comfortable surrounded by lots of strangers!

What are the little things your fur family members have done lately to bring a smile to your face?
