Single White Feline

“I understand why some of my friends are single but I just don’t get why I am.”

This statement is made by Jane, an attractive, seemingly well-adjusted 29 year old Brit who is the subject of the hysterical BBC mockumentary “Single White Feline” (did anyone else know the BBC did comedy?).

It’s a statement all single women of a certain age have privately pondered at some point. In Jane’s case it quickly becomes clear what her problem is.

Just to be safe, I think I’ll be sure not to leave my Blackberry unattended at home.Petie has been looking a tad suspect lately do ya think?

  • i LOVE this video. though funny thing, i didn’t know about the whole stigma of cat lady = forever alone ’til i noticed it on the simpsons. i guess it’s because i grew up in a super pet friendly household.

    • I HAVE CAT

Really Yasmine??!! That’s awesome!!! As an older single woman who got cats for the first time as an adult i have been TOO keenly aware of it!

      • what’s not to like about a “cat lady”?

a.) shows love and care towards animals
b.) has a mind of her own — like her cats
        c.) independent
d.) intelligent and attractive as evidenced by you and many others

i actually haven’t dated any non-pet friendly guys. in fact, i haven’t met one. i must be sheltered. and the guys and ladies in my family have always had pets and didn’t seem to have issues with dating. so the older i got, the more i’ve noticed it in the media here in the USA — not so much in the philippines and the other countries i’ve lived in. maybe the media helps in portraying us cat ladies and gents in a not so pleasant light. sigh.

        • I HAVE CAT

I think you are on to something Yasmine! Maybe I need to move!

  • Hilarious video!
Petie’s cute with that mustache and beard! 🙂

  • My Daddy has been a bachelor all his life, and he’s 51.

I’ve been a part of his life only since 1998.

Why he’s not married has nothing to do with me…

    I’m just sayin’ is all.

By the way…He DOES finally have a Female in his (Well OK, OUR.) life.

She just showed up on our door step in the middle of the night, last July, and never left.

    Her Name’s Elvira.

    She’s a Tortie. ;-D

    • I HAVE CAT

Awwww Elvira knew where to show up in the middle of the night didn’t she? So sweet! xo
